This Housing LIN Viewpoint no 30 explores how older people can be better linked with communities and suggests that the key is to be found in working with the strengths of individuals and communities, in order to develop new connections and build relationships. They do not to suggest that ‘community’ can replace or perhaps even reduce the need for services in all areas, but that it is an essential component in promoting longer term health and well-being.
