Council Tax Reduction

Council Tax Reduction is a scheme offered through your local council and is intended to reduce the amount of Council Tax payable by those on a low-income or in receipt of certain means-tested benefits. Each council is able to set their own rules for eligibility and we would therefore suggest contacting them directly to enquire about any entitlement you may have.

People who receive the guarantee part of Pension Credit will usually receive full help with their rent and Council Tax payments.
