Care Home Specialisms

All care homes across the UK must inform their regulatory body what type of care they are able to provide. The conditions that care homes are able to care for are varied but the most common are: older people generally, dementia care, physical disabilities, nursing and mental disability.

The four regulators for each country within the United Kingdom are:

England: Care Quality Commission
Wales: Care and Social Service Inspectorate Wales
Scotland: Care Inspectorate
Northern Ireland: Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority
