Records broken as thousands vote for Housing Awards 2019

A record 19,000 votes have been cast by residents, families, visitors and staff for retirement housing schemes across the UK.

1,220 retirement developments are involved, along with the landlords and management companies that run them.

EAC’s National Housing for Older People Awards were launched in 2010 to encourage those who live, visit and work in specialist later life housing to celebrate successful schemes from across the UK’s rich spectrum of provision. National Awards events have attracted over 300 people each year, a majority of them residents. New features of the Awards in 2019 are regional heats and a new Heroes Award.

The new Housing Awards website (eacawards.org.uk) shows this year’s voting in real time, explains how to join in and provides details of all previous years’ winners, along with photos and videos of the Awards events.
