Neighbourhood Care Independence scheme for CumbriaWhat does it do?
Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care, through Cumbria Community Foundation funds the Cumbria Third Sector Consortium (C3C) to deliver Neighbourhood Care Independence (NCI) services in Carlisle, Eden, Furness and South Lakes.
NCI comprises service delivery provided through a wide range of community and voluntary sector partners, and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)
NCI supports older and vulnerable people to remain independent at home and services incude:
- Equipment for daily living
- Befriending
- Practical support on return home from hospital
- Small repair jobs in the home
- Garden maintenance
- Hearing aid maintenance and support
- Information and advice

Older and/or vulnerable people in Cumbria
Where it is available?
Local service (Eden, South Lakeland, Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle).
