Hertfordshire Independent Living Service

Hertfordshire Independent Living Service, supporting your independence

What does it do?

Hertfordshire Independent Living Service provides breakfast, lunch and teatime meals. Our caring drivers deliver meals on week days, weekends and bank holidays. We are proud to provide meals 365 days a year.

We also run the kingfisher club in St Albans at the Jubilee centre, we also have a nutrition and well-being who will visit you to see how they can help further.

We are trying to expand our services to be able to help even more, for more information please visit our website: https://hertsindependentliving.org/

Who it is for?

Previous we just delivered meals if you have difficulty preparing a meal safely, have a mental or physical disability, you are unable to do a food shop or even if your carer is unwell or on holiday. other than that we can help if you’ve just come out of hospital or you’re recovering from an illness, you’re unable to cook meals for yourself after someone dies. Most of all there is no age limit!

In April 2015, Hertfordshire Community Meals began operating as Hertfordshire Independent Living Service. This new name reflects that we do far more than deliver meals. We now provide a wide range of services, and we have plans to continue to develop more in the coming years!
