Equipment Service for Visually Impaired Adults
What does it do?
The Warwickshire Association for the Blind (WAB) has displays of equipment at our Drop-In Centres in Nuneaton, Rugby, Stratford and Leamington
The equipment that we have is specially designed to help people with sight loss overcome practical problems.
The equipment can be divided into:
Mobility equipment - e.g. white canes of various types.
Equipment on show at Stratford Drop-In
Aids to daily living - e.g. kitchen equipment, talking watches
Communication equipment - e.g. telephones, writing frames, reading devices
Low Vision devices - e.g. CCTV's, magnifiers
IT equipment - e.g. hardware and software

Local service (Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, North Warwickshire, Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby).
What it costs:
Many items of equipment can be issued free of charge to people who have received an assessment by one of our Rehabilitation Officers. Staff will organise purchase of all recommended equipment on behalf of clients.
