What does it do?

The service installs equipment in people’s homes that connects them to the help they need through a monitoring service. People can have a range of equipment that is tailored to their needs and can choose who will respond on their behalf if they need help.

Who it is for?

Anyone who could benefit from Telecare, especially older people, people with learning or physical disabilities, or with an long term illness or condition, and people who are worried about their security at home.

Local service (Portsmouth).

What it costs:

A weekly charge is made of £6.54 for the standard service, and £8.79 for the Telecare Plus service which includes a professional night responder service. This price includes everything related to the service, no matter how many times the person needs help, and how many pieces of equipment the person has and includes free key safe. These charges are exclusive of VAT but most of our customers are VAT exempt.

What to expect then:

We will discuss your needs to find out the most suitable equipment for you. We will then arrange to install the equipment in your home and demonstrate how to use it. We provide a free aftercare service, so if you have difficulties using the equipment we will visit you to give you further help.

Additional information:

This service is a locally run service for Portsmouth people. The weekly charge is all people will ever pay, and there are no hidden extras. Because we are local we can provide a speedy service especially if you are having difficulty with the equipment or need repairs.
