Information and Advice

What does it do?

HAD staff all currently provide this service for disabled and older people. In the 2010 we received 30,000 telephone calls seeking information and advice. We work closely with a variety of types of organisations to provide up to date information for for you.

Offering you accurate, relevant, up-to date Information and Advice is our top priority. This includes topics and issues such as:
  • Disabled people’s rights
  • Benefits
  • Disabled Transport Options
  • Equipment and Mobility
  • Accessible Holidays
  • and much more….
If we don’t know the answer to your query we will take your details, do the research and contact you back with the answer or a checked signposting to organisations that can help.Also we provide some benefits advice by appointment either at our Centre or via a telephone call. We have a fully trained volunteer who works hard to ensure you get the correct and best advice possible.

We have also created an extensive HAD Information Directory for your reference. So remember you don’t have to be in the dark about any issues just contact us and we will do our best to find the answer.
