Bakers Benevolent Society
What does it do?
The Society has around 60 residents living at Bakers' Villas in Epping Essex enjoying the benefits of sheltered housing with on site warden/carers, subsidised lunches, hairdresser and chiropodist.
The Society also currently supports around 120 elderly beneficiaries still living in their own homes with -
- weekly charitable grants to top-up their basic Government pensions
- the purchase of mobility aids
- life-lines and telephone rentals
- the purchase of household essential items
Who it is for?
The Society offer the provision of housing, care and support to the retired people of the Baking Industry and its Allied Trades.
