Lifeline Alarm - Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Lifeline - 6 week free trial-

What does it do?

The lifeline is an all round safety and security device. This service enables the user to instantly let someone know if they require urgent assistance. If a person needs help but cannot reach a telephone then this prevents that person waiting for someone to realise that something is wrong. The lifeline can be used in any emergency situation such as a fall, chest pains or even an intruder / if they feel threatened. The pendant alarm can be worn either around the neck or wrist and is linked to our local 24 hour Control Centre. When the alarm is activated, the Control Centre Operator will communicate with the user via the intercom provided. They will contact on their behalf either the Emergency Services, family, friends or neighbours to respond. If no sound can be heard via the intercom, the Operator will still send family, friends or neighbours out to make a welfare check. At no extra charge, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council also include the "Responder" service which means that if no family, friends or neighbours can be contacted, then an on call Council Officer will be sent out to make a welfare check subject to a keysafe being fitted at the property.

Who it is for?

The lifeline is for anyone who wishes to have that extra peace of mind, reassurance and security. Peace of mind not only for the user but also for their family and friends. It enables people to continue being independent with help only the touch of a button away.
