What does it do?

With Alfi Telecare, you and your loved ones have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that help is always there when you need it.

You're given a personal alarm and/or sensors around your home, so that if you have a fall or experience an urgent health problem, Alfi's dedicated team can respond immediately and make sure you get the help you need. The service is tailored to your needs, so you can feel more confident in your home and live with greater independence.

What are the benefits?

  • A wearable personal alarm and a base unit connected to your phone line allow you to call for help anywhere in your home (or garden).

  • Additional monitors and sensors (such as fall sensors, carbon monoxide detectors, even a pill dispenser) can be included, depending on your condition and the risks it brings.

  • Our dedicated Response Team is there to make sure you get immediate help if you fall or have an urgent health problem.

How does it work?

  • Alfi is a flexible solution that fits around your needs. Neck or wrist pendants, activity detectors, bed sensors, key safes and even smoke and carbon monoxide alarms – your Alfi system is tailored to suit your circumstances and lifestyle.

  • A single press of the button on a pendant or alarm connects you immediately to our dedicated Telecare Response Team – any time of the day or night. Most calls are answered within one minute – and our team will try to answer in less than 30 seconds.

  • The telecare team will check the situation and respond accordingly. You may ask them to contact a friend or relative; the police or the ambulance service.

  • Our team don't mind if they get false alarms – so you don't need to worry about setting the alarm off by mistake. It allows them to check that the system is working properly, and they'll be pleased that there isn’t an emergency!

How is the system set up?

  • First, you fill in a simple form, answering a few questions to identify your particular needs. We can help you do this if you like.

  • We'll then contact you to arrange a convenient installation date and time.

  • We aim to install urgent applications within two days, and our trained, friendly installers should take no longer than 45 minutes to fit your alarm equipment.

  • Ideally you'll have a working telephone landline to connect to your base unit, but we also offer a SIM-based system if needed. You'll need a 13-amp power socket within nine feet of the base unit.

  • Your installer will spend time to explain how your system works, and show you how to make an assistance call with you. They'll also provide written guides, review the Alfi contract with you and clearly explain the terms of the agreement. We want to make sure you are completely happy with your new Alfi alarm!
