The Dengie Duo
Myself, and Angela Gardner operate as a Duo. We both sing and harmonise while I play guitar and Angela plays percussion (tambourine, various shakers). She is currently learning the Ukulele. We perform at all sorts of venues and have travelled all over Essex, London the South of England onto the Channel Islands and also do lots of work in Holland.
We have a catalogue of over 2000 songs covering all eras. In the last two years we have been doing loads of work in Residential homes and Day Centres. Obviously for these gigs we concentrate more on 50's 60's and 70's music with some old time london sing alongs plus war songs, dependant on what's required. Plus plenty of Christmas songs for when it's the festive season. We also play with many other musicians. For instance the second video shows us with another guitarist as a trio called Stuck In The Middle, but it shows the type of performance we also do as a duo. We principally work as a duo and prefer to when entertaining the elderly. We obviously ask a higher fee from Clubs and Pubs but do a very much reduced rate when playing for Pensioners during the day. I can also do these gigs as a soloist if needed so cancellations from our end are extremely unlikely.
