Singer/Musician/Storyteller

I have been performing at nursing and residential homes all over the North west of England for the past 10 years - I average 150+ per year. I also toured Europe with an Irish folk band for many years. I accompany myself on a 10-string guitar called a cittern. I perform without any backing tapes and don't use any sound system. I sing songs from the music hall days of the late 19th century right up to the 1960's and everything in-between. I love to have a laugh with the residents and tell funny jokes and stories and reminisce about " the old days ". My main strength I think is communication.
