I worked as a carer for many years and learnt my craft by singing to the residents and getting them all to participate whilst singing and playing the guitar as part of personal interaction. I also sing-along with backing tracks and encourage the residents to join in by clapping hands,shaking tambourines, waving their arms and,( if able ) to also dance. Laughter is encouraged with the emphasis on having fun.
