I play clarinet along to a well recorded backing track. I have carefully put a repertoire together which I think older people enjoy and can participate in singing along. I have had very positive feed back from the residents and carers and am always happy to fit into any event which may be on at the time. I specialise also in songs from the wars and have recently played in a 1940s week. I have special music also for different times of the year e.g. Easter, Valentines, Christmas etc. I am 42 years old and have played the clarinet for over 30 years. I am currently studying for a music degree and work with music in schools. I enjoy singing and am also studying singing grades, therefore I am thinking of including some singing into my repertoire. Particular clarinet favourites I always include are Stranger on the Shore, My Way, Moon River, Can't help falling in love, Over the Rainbow, It's a long way to Tipperary, plus many more.
