Emilija
Emilija is a professional classical musician who started studying the kankles at the age of nine in Lithuania. Emilija has been playing the kankles for 14 years and has been awarded the title of the National Laureate of Lithuania twice. The kankles is the Lithuanian National instrument, which remains relatively unknown to many. However, Emilija is committed to present this unusual instrument to new audiences in order to educate more people about the kankles and promote the diversity of Lithuanian culture. Emilija has now become a performer in the city of London. Her performances are characterized by skillful integration of the traditional folk instrument, the kankles, into diverse genres, including classical, pop, and folk music
