Cocktails' Royale Party-in-a-Box.          We bring the party to you!       Who are Cocktails Royale?  Cocktails’ Royale Party-in-a-Box host bespoke hour long Cocktail Parties for older people living in sheltered, assisted, residential, private or community settings. Our Mission?  Harnessing the transformational and uplifting power of music through a party we improve the quality of life for older people,  challenging loneliness, depression and promoting memory recall. About me A former Croydon head teacher (Tollgate Primary School 1998-2004) and deputy head teacher (Ecclesbourne Infants School 1989-1992) I trained as a Soul Jazz and Gospel singer at London University Goldsmiths College and the London Centre for Contemporary Music in 2007-12 and volunteered in Care Homes. Why Cocktails' Royale? Cocktails Royale © was named after Roy a former sailor living in residential accommodation. Roy’s sudden departure was a great blow, made more poignant by the discovery that he had no family. The knowledge that music helped to make Roy’s final days happier and more fulfilled was the inspiration for Cocktails’ Royale ©, named after Roy. What's different about Cocktails Royale? Party-in-a-Box includes Cocktail singer Games to promote memory and social interaction Table decorations Room balloons Sing-a-long with large print lyrics Rum punch cocktail  (non-alcoholic) Pre-party consultation –party planning meeting Pre-party room set up Post party clear up.   What next?
