The warm, sonorous and expressive tones of the cello can create the perfect ambience for relaxation and entertainment. My name is Cheryl McMaster and I am a professional cellist with over 35 years experience and quite simply, it is my passion! I am classically trained but thanks to the versatility of the cello, I play a wide variety of styles along with backing tracks using my top of the range Bose amplification equipment. I am constantly adding to my collection of music. With my easy going manner and Northern Irish charm, I am always very content to chat to and listen to my audience! My cello, made in 1900, belonged to my grandfather and I am proud to play it in his memory. My fee includes all expenses - up to a 40 mile return journey from my home in Livingston, West Lothian.

It's great to see the power of music at work as residents sing along, smile, tap their toes and even on occasion dance with their carers as familiar tunes fill the room!
