What does it do?

It is a non-profit advisory service for older, disabled or vulnerable people and families on low incomes who own their own homes or live in private rented accommodation and wish to repair, improve or adapt their homes.

If you would like to discuss any repairs or maintenance needs, please contact us for a wide range of help and support including:

  • technical advice
  • help with selecting contractors
  • help to organise building work
  • visits on site while work is progressing
  • assistance with architectural services

What it costs:

A fee is chargeable on some services provided.  You will be fully informed where this is the case.

We only use contractors who are trusted and approved and we deal with them on your behalf and monitor their work. You will only pay for the work once you are satisfied and if there are any issues then we take this up with the contractor on your behalf.
