Companionship Services

Companionship and support, every step of the way.

What does it do?

A tailored befriending and support service for older people in the community — offering personalised companionship, practical support, and safe transportation.

We support older adults living with age-related changes, early-onset dementia, Parkinson’s, reduced confidence, or feelings of isolation and loneliness. Many simply can’t do as much as they once could, or no longer have the support to keep enjoying the activities and social interactions that make life meaningful. We also provide much-needed respite for family members and carers who find themselves constantly on duty.

We are changing the narrative.
Life does not stop with age — and we help our clients rediscover what’s still possible. Through gentle encouragement, tailored outings, and activities aligned with each person’s interests, we help people reconnect with their community, build confidence, and experience joy again. Our wide range of resources and ideas ensures every visit can stimulate, uplift, and support mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing — helping clients remain independent in their own homes for longer.

Weekly visits are shaped entirely around the individual, and may include:

  • Light home tasks and everyday support
  • Tech and admin help (online food shops, NHS app repeat prescriptions, emails, forms)
  • Nurturing hobbies and interests
  • Games, conversation, cooking together
  • Gentle outings to parks, cafés, garden centres, community events, and places of interest

All companions are enhanced DBS-checked, trained, insured, and all are drivers, making it possible for clients to enjoy safe, door-to-door transport and the reassurance of having someone by their side. For many, this opens up a world they thought was no longer accessible.

Consistency is at the heart of what we do.
Having the same companion visit each week builds trust, comfort, and a genuine relationship. Compassion, empathy, initiative, and attention to detail underpin every visit — from adapting activities to someone’s abilities, to sharing visit notes and photos with families through our secure CRM system, to remembering birthdays and special moments.

Families gain peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported, engaged, and not alone. Carers receive breathing space, especially those supporting someone with early-onset dementia who may need regular, reliable respite.

We are here to improve quality of life — gently, respectfully, and with purpose.
Our service helps older adults stay connected, confident, and in control, while offering families reassurance and support.

Who it is for?

The service is for people affected by age related ailments, health conditions, early on-set dementia, parkinsons, people lacking the support and confidence to enjoy life and feel isolated and lonely because they have not been able to do the things they once were able to. Being stuck in your four walls for the most part of the day can be cause for depression, low mood, increase the risks of heart disease, decrease in mental and physical activities can have very negative effects on a persons overall wellbeing and speed up the ageing process.

Those clients already receiving our services are experiencing improvement to their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Improved balance, strenght, confidence, general joy in life to try new activities, making new friends and feeling involved and part of the community again.

They get to use their 5 senses again through walks in local parks, by joining community activities, going shopping, hearing, seeing feeling and experiencing different settings.

Loneliness is a national epidemic and doesnt just affect the elderly, we are here to support anyone who feels they want to experience more freedom and opportunities to better their lives with the support of a companion.
