What does it do?

We support the elderly people in the community by providing a quality befriending and support service which includes transportation and a individualised, person centred service to its clients. 

Our clients include those with age related ailments, early on-set Dementia, Parkinsons and feelings of isolation and loneliness. Many elderly people simply cant do as much as they once were able to and lack confidence or the support to continue to enjoy activities and social interactions. 

We are here to change the narrative and know there is so much more to live for. We enable our clients to experience life again by encouraging outings to local parks, community activities that are in line with their specific interests. We have a vast amount of resources available that offer a variety of options to stimulate and excite our clients, which inturn improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing and will allow them to live independently , in their own home for longer.

The weekly visits can include help with light home tasks, tech and admin support like help with ordering online food shops, support with NHS app repeat prsecriptions, nurturing interests and hobbies, playing a game or cooking together and so much more. 

Our enhanced DBS checked, trained and insured members of the team are all drivers and can open your world to more possibilities. Enjoy visits to a garden centre, places of interest, a special park or event. Transportation and having someone to accompany provides reassurance and creates opportunities that many thought no longer possible.

We are all compassionate and show initiative in providing the best service possibly and by having the same person come and visit you get to build strong relations which will ensure that our clients feel comfortable and safe. 

At the same time it gives reassurance to the families, children of the elderly that may struggle to visit their elderly relative due to work and family commitments, respite to those caring for a loved one with early-onset dementia can take a break knowing that their loved one is looked after.

We are here to help and improve the life quality of those we serve.

Who it is for?

The service is for people affected by age related ailments, health conditions, early on-set dementia, parkinsons, people lacking the support and confidence to enjoy life and feel isolated and lonely because they have not been able to do the things they once were able to. Being stuck in your four walls for the most part of the day can be cause for depression, low mood, increase the risks of heart disease, decrease in mental and physical activities can have very negative effects on a persons overall wellbeing and speed up the ageing process.

Those clients already receiving our services are experiencing improvement to their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Improved balance, strenght, confidence, general joy in life to try new activities, making new friends and feeling involved and part of the community again.

They get to use their 5 senses again through walks in local parks, by joining community activities, going shopping, hearing, seeing feeling and experiencing different settings.

Loneliness is a national epidemic and doesnt just affect the elderly, we are here to support anyone who feels they want to experience more freedom and opportunities to better their lives with the support of a companion.

What it costs:

Our weekly visits of a minimum of 2hour per visits are charged at £28p.h. plus £0.45 per mile driven throughout the visit. We do have packages available to suit the needs of our clients. These can be discussed when booking your free no obligation up to 1 hour home visit consultation.

In many cases PIP or Attendance allowance can help with paying for the service. We do not provide help in sourcing these but can refer to partner services that can assist with form filling.

What to expect then:

We are there to support you or your loved. It can be daunting to let someone new into your home as well as changing potential habits, good or bad that may have crept in when finding yourself housebound more often than not, but we are there to reassure you and take steps to make this a positive experience.
