What does it do?

We provide a number of services.
 
Our flexible Personalcare service is for indviduals living at home and children and young people aged up to 18. Our care support is person-centred and designed to encourage freedom of choice with clients actively supported to make decisions about their own care. All aspects of personalcare are provided.
 
We also offer a Domestic Support service for people who require a helping hand with general housework, shopping and laundry along with a Nail cutting service for people neding help cutting their finger nails and toe nails.

Our Equipment service offers a wide range of daily living equipment for purchase, from manual and electric whelchairs and electric scooters through to walking aids, adapted household items and personal care products such as bathing aids and commodes. We also give independent advice and information, product care advice and demonstrations if required.

Our Welfare Benefits advice team offer free, specialist and independent advice to ensure that the money coming in to households is maximised. Expert advisors carry out a free 'benefit check' to establish entitlements to all benefits and tax credits and can help with the filling out of any forms that need to be completed.

Our Transport service operates a reliable and friendly door-to-door transport service for people of all ages. Our fully-accessible tail-lift vehicles can accommodate seated passengers, wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. We also offer a Dial-a-Wheelchair service for occasional and short-term loans of wheelchairs in Barking & Dagenham and Havering.

Our services are available to all living in Barking & Dagenham, with some services available in Havering, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Hackney.
