What does it do?

We may be able to:

  • advise you on how to do things differently so it’s easier for you to live at home
  • lend equipment or provide minor adaptations such as grab rails in your home
  • put you in contact with organisations about access to employment, social or leisure opportunities
  • give advice and make recommendations to your local District or Borough Council for major adaptations to your property such as a stairlift

Who it is for?

The Occupational Therapy service is for anyone in Essex who requires help to live independently.

Where it is available?

Local service (Epping Forest, Harlow, Maldon, Southend-on-Sea, Tendring, Thurrock, Uttlesford, Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Castle point, Chelmsford, Colchester, Rochford).

We do not provide equipment or adaptations for rehabilitation, treatment or needs that are not permanent or substantial.  We will provide you with information on how to access short term equipment.
