What does it do?
This is a formal self help group established to make life easier for Bosnians living in Derby and to help elderly people. It also aims to
relieve poverty, sickness and distress for refugees from Bosnia and Hercegovina regardless of ethnic origin. The group organises weekly
meetings and sports activities. It also provides an interpreting and translating service, advice, signposting, counselling, representation,
and ESOL classes and IT classes for Bosnians and other refugees or asylum seekers from the former Yugoslavia. A Bosnian supplementary school for Bosnian children has been set up.
