The Family Support & Bereavement Service offers confidential
support and counselling for patients and their families throughout the
patient's illness and treatment, and into bereavement if required.
At St Giles we recognise that the diagnosis of a life limiting
illness, or the experience of bereavement can affect people in many
different ways - emotionally, physically, socially, financially and in
other areas of life - and we aim to tailor support to meet individual
needs.
Assistance can range from emotional support and counselling through
to signposting to other services; including offering practical
solutions and financial/benefit advice.
