What does it do?

Free eye test in the comfort of your own home. 

The qualified optometrists can carry out a free eye health test in the comfort of your own home. The home eye test will last for about 50 minutes, after a prescription has been created, we will then be able to provide a bespoke glasses and frames to meet your needs. We also offer additional support and aftercare once your glasses have been delivered.

Your typical home eye test will conduct the flowing steps:
1) Gather your prior data of medical issues and examine your current glasses prescription
2) Test your level of vision near and far
3) Examine the health of your eyes for signs of abnormality, disease or injury.
4) Test the pressure of your eye for such issues as glaucoma
5) Provide a selection of frames and lenses for you to choose form to cater for your needs

We deliver your new glasses within 3 weeks of our visit. You will also receive a written record of the outcome of your home eye examination.

Who it is for?

You qualify for a free NHS funded sight test if you are:
If you having difficulty attending a high street opticians unaccompanied, due to poor health or a mental or physical disability you may be entitled to a FREE NHS sight test at your home. 

1) Are you aged 60 or over?
2) Are you under 16, or under 19 and in full time education?
3) Are you age 40 or over and have a close relative with glaucoma?
4) Does a hospital ophthalmologist say you are at risk of glaucoma?
5) Are you registered blind or partially sighted?

What it costs:

The Eyesight and glasses will be free if you meet the NHS eligibility guidelines. However, we also provide other options at a varied cost for those who would like more than the basic NHS glasses selection.

What to expect then:

We will book you in for a home visiting eye test. providing a data and time for the eye examination. We will also advise you on providing your medical history, prior glasses prescriptions and proof of benefits if it applies to the NHS services free eligibility.
