The Befriending Service

Volunteers offer companionship and support through weekly visits

What does it do?

Full trained and DBS checked volunteers visit client in their own homes once a week to offer companionship and support.

Who it is for?

Anyone over 65 suffering with loneliness

Regional service (Cambridgeshire, Suffolk).

What to expect then:

Clients will be visited by coordinator to record in further detail  their Hobbies, Interests, Past career etc, in order to match with the appopriate volunteer. Our service will also be explained, so the client will know what to expect.

Additional information:

All our volunteers are DBS/REF checked and trained. The visit is for approx 1 hr per week.
