Resource Centre
What does it do?
The organisation has a Resource Centre, where members can see and try the many aids and equipment available to help visually impaired people. These include talking clocks and watches, adapted games such as dominoes, scrabble, monopoly and playing cards, kitchen equipment, daily living aids, large button telephones and brailling equipment. Also available is a 20/20 Low Vision Reading System (CCTV) which enlarges the written word making any document easier to read. There is a wide range of information in large print and tape form and a selection of story tapes and large print books, which can be lent out.

Visually impaired/blind people living in the area.
