T'ai Chi for beginners

T'ai Chi for beginners

What does it do?

I can attend residential facilities and day care centres. A class requires very little space, no special equipment and can be done in ordinary comfortable clothing.

The gentle movements help to mobilise joints and slowly build muscle strength. T'ai chi is recognised as an effective fall prevention exercise. The slow movements done to music are soothing and promote mental as well as physical well being.

Who it is for?

T'ai Chi is excellent as a very gentle form of exercise for the elderly. It can be done seated and adapted to accommodate a variety of different ability levels.

T'ai Chi is also very beneficial for those who are leading busy and stressful lives and would therefore also benefit those who care for the elderly.
