The original station building forms part of the site, and the Station Master's cottage is now a retirement home for purchase within the sheltered accommodation in the village.There are 107 retirement homes, consisting of cottages and flats for independent living, each boasting the usual mod-cons: central heating; a fitted kitchen and a 'wet-room' level access shower. Many of the first floor flats here have a 'room in the roof', which provides additional living space that is useful as an extra bedroom or for a hobbies room in which to spread out.
