Show more "Arthur Russell Court has a total of 42 flats, 38 of these are one bedroom for up to 2 people, and there are also 4 single person studio flats. Situated in a quiet residential area with a large secluded garden. Local amenities, including a convenience store, chemist and a post office are all within 10 minutes walk. The court has a pleasant communal lounge, laundry room and guest room. There is a 24 hour emergency call system and door entry system for your security. There is a wide range of social activities, including health & fitness club, coffee mornings, tea club, games night, bingo, snooker club and also adult education (government funding permitting). Fish & Chip Lunches, Afternoon Teas and Court Manager Lunch Club are very popular monthly events. The Social Club also arranges monthly Saturday evening parties, recently the residents enjoyed a forties night. Residents describe the court as having a relaxed 'family' atmosphere where residents feel independent yet supported. Involvement is encouraged; however, privacy is respected. We benefit from a twice weekly visiting hairdresser service and monthly barber service in our salon.Our Court Manager Service is an important and integral part of Housing 21’s approach to supporting our residents. It is designed to offer support and security to the court and those residents on court who need it. The service is about promoting and encouraging individuals to maintain their independence in their own home.
