The Smiling Sessions
The Smiling Sessions are a free virtual video jukebox of famous and uplifting songs created by performing arts charity, Shapeshifter Productions.
Broadcast in care home across the UK and released every week, each song is performed by a celebrity guest. The sessions come with on screen lyrics and residents can singalong by using our easy-to-use app – www.smilingsessions.com.
We offer some help to homes who may need help with the technology required to access our sessions.
Created in response to the pandemic when so many older people became isolated, our Smiling Sessions are aimed at supporting wellbeing and mental health in anyone who still feels cut off because of Covid-19.
We hope we will be able to visit homes again in the future
Formerly our Smiling Sessions were live participatory singalong sessions performed by our professional musicians in care homes. We look forward to performing our live sessions again, once the pandemic is over and it is safe for us to visit homes.
