The Opera Gents- 'Memories Through Music'
The Opera Gents are totally unique! Their Memories Through Music sessions are a fun and interactive form of therapeutic entertainment.
Both Toby and David have had extensive experience as performers having appeared in six west end shows between them and on tour throughout the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan and much of Europe in opera, musical theatre and cabaret entertainment.
Also, having made over 400 appearances in care homes across the UK, they have built up a large repertoire of golden oldies, enabling them to use a variety of activities from singing to dancing and even chair aerobics in their sessions, becoming very adept at providing entertainment for people in care.
A typical hour long session consists of our famous Blitz & Pieces sing along, musical quiz, chair aerobics, gentle dance numbers and percussion orchestra. Our wide and varied repertoire includes popular melodies from the 1920s to 1970s and anything from folk to classical music. Our performances are offered with live piano accompaniment by Toby with other instruments including the ukulele and guitar or backing tracks.
