The Classical Den
Hi, I am a classical guitarist and over the years I have been steadfastly developing my repertoire to be as tasteful and widely appealing as possible. The songs I interpret are often poignant, wistful, emotive, and as a result I have had a brilliant response from the general public - on occasion, a few people have become very emotional - especially when that song is connected to a person who is no longer around - when this happens I always ask who the person was and dedicate that performance to them.
Research has shown that music has a profoundly positive impact on people’s psychology. Music can help heal in many ways such as with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote cognitive awareness, to calm and relax, to ease muscle tension, to reminisce etc - music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways. That’s why I utilize my classical guitar as a therapeutic tool dedicated to older adults in accommodation who just want to chill and listen to some nice music.
