Singing for lung health!
Hello my name is Heather, I am an award-winning registered nurse from Sale. I am especially trained to help people breathe better by singing.This is particularly helpful right now because we havent been getting out and exercising our lungs.
In my 1 hour workshop, we will do
- Gentle physical and vocal warm ups
- Breathing and posture exercises
- Sing some great songs together!
- Relaxation and mindfulness.
This is great for anyone, but will particuarly help people with breathing problems and can be adapted for those who cannot stand.
For best results, 6 weekly classes are recommended and this will include basic instruction for staff to carry on with the singalongs independently.
