Air Raid Jive & Mr Dickie Bows

Air Raid Jive & Mr Dickie Bows This entertaining troupe provide an authentic period clothing show to Care & Residential homes. We will demonstrate 1940s dancing from the American Swing era as well as the golden age of the British Dance Bands. We encourage participation in the Community dances (if possible) of the era such as the Lambeth Walk, Barn Dance & Palais glide etc, as these provide a great deal of fun and community integration. Our Wartime sing-a-long is interactive, encouraging participation from residents through props such as tambourines, maracas and hand held flags (song sheets can be provided if required). The show has been a great success with residents living with dementia & Alzheimer's, as well as residents with learning difficulties.  We think of our performance as a form of therapy, as music is a great way to stimulate the mind and help regain memories. Please contact us as we would be delighted to work with your group’s requirements tell us what you require and we will do our best to help.
