Adrian Vranch Acoustic Folk, Blues and beyond
I perform a gentle set, singing a selection of folk, blues and other songs, accompanied by acoustic guitar. My repertoire is different from most local performers and audiences like the fresh, new feel to my gigs - i.e. not the same worn out songs strummed badly. I have small, unobtrusive but adequate, amplification. I do not use a huge PA system, with volume far too loud (like most local performers). I am part-entertainer as well as singer/guitarist and interaction with the audience is important to me. Feedback indicates that audiences like this approach. In particular, I explain the historical background to songs, why I like them and what they mean to me personally. I am often asked after a gig if I do guitar lessons. I do one-to-one lessons in the Penwith area, tailored to the needs of the learner, whatever age and whatever playing experience. I am working on a sellf-study CD for people who want to learn to play guitar.
