Working with Care Homes

What does it do?

Sensory Support in Care Homes. Sensory Support is a free service to support residents who are over 50 in care homes with hearing and/or sight needs. It is part of the Leeds Hearing and Sight Loss Services and offers volunteer matches to residents to enable engagement with phone/video calls and letter writing. Digital support is also available to residents and staff, including ICT equipment loans. Sensory Support offers best practice consultations with staff and training on request. There is also support available for relatives of care home residents.
