Supporting Asian Older Carers in Newham to Access community services, break down barriers and feel more engaged.

Providing befriending support, hospital and home visits, to provide Intensive casework e.g. involving a carer’s assessment, appeal, and follow up work. To empower carers to access relevant services. Increase physical and mental health, leading to increased independence and make an informed decision.

In addition, there will be Community Information Events and Peer Support Meetings to Raise Awareness and provide support to Newham Carers.

This project is currently funded by the Lloyds Foundation and we hope to find ways of continuing and developing this important area of work in the future.
