Sky Home Living - Live-in Care
Live-in care supporting adults to stay safe and independent at homeWhat does it do?
Sky Home Living provides live-in care for adults who wish to remain in their own home rather than move into residential care, where this is safe and appropriate.
A carefully matched carer lives in the person’s home and provides practical support, personal care and companionship around their individual routines, preferences and assessed needs. Support may include personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, support with eating and drinking, medication support in line with the agreed care plan, companionship and light household help.
We also provide live-in dementia support, respite arrangements for family carers and short-term support following hospital discharge. Care is planned around the individual and reviewed as needs change.
All care is subject to a free assessment, suitability checks and staffing availability.
Who it is for?
The service is for adults aged 18 and over who need support to remain safe, comfortable and independent at home.
This may include older people, people living with dementia, physical disabilities or reduced mobility, people recovering after illness or hospital discharge, and people whose family carers need short-term relief or additional support.
We also support families who are considering whether care at home may be a suitable alternative to residential care.
Where it is available?
What it costs:

• Essential live-in care: from £1,200 per week
• Standard live-in care: approximately £1,400–£1,500 per week
• Complex or specialist live-in care: approximately £1,600–£1,900+ per week
A clear personalised quotation is provided before care begins. Costs can vary depending on care needs, the number of hours or level of support required, location, staffing arrangements and any specialist requirements.
Some people may be eligible for financial support through their local authority, NHS Continuing Healthcare or benefits such as Attendance Allowance. Eligibility is decided by the relevant organisation, and we can signpost families to appropriate information where needed.
How to access or apply for it:
Families, individuals and professionals can contact Sky Home Living directly by telephone, email or through our website.
Referrals and enquiries are welcomed from individuals, relatives, solicitors, GPs, hospital teams, social workers and other professionals supporting adults who may need care at home.

What to expect then:
Following an initial enquiry, we will discuss the person’s circumstances, the support they are looking for and whether live-in care may be suitable.
Where appropriate, a care manager will arrange a free, no-obligation assessment. This considers the person’s needs, desired outcomes, risks, home environment, preferences and the level of support required.
Before care begins, families will receive a clear care plan and quotation. We will then work to identify suitable carers and agree a start date, subject to assessment, safe delivery of care and staffing availability.
