Nightingales Home Care & Support Services provides personalised care and practical support to help people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.
As a CQC-regulated provider, we deliver compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs, preferences and routines. Our services are flexible and can range from occasional weekly visits to more regular daily support.
Our services include:
• Personal care, including washing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Medication support and wellbeing checks.
• Companionship and social support.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Shopping and assistance with errands.
• Light housekeeping, laundry and domestic tasks.
• Support following hospital discharge.
• Respite support for family carers.
• Assistance to help people maintain their independence and continue living safely at home.
We work closely with each person and, where appropriate, their family to develop a personalised care plan that promotes dignity, independence and choice while providing reassurance and peace of mind.
Who it is for?
Our service is designed for adults aged 18 and over who require additional support to remain living independently in their own home.
We support older people, individuals living in retirement housing, people recovering following illness or hospital discharge, and adults living with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions or age-related frailty. We also provide support to people living with dementia or memory-related conditions, where appropriate.
Whether someone requires a little extra help around the home, companionship to reduce loneliness, or ongoing personal care, we tailor our support to meet their individual circumstances and goals.
We welcome both privately funded clients and those whose care is arranged through local authorities, healthcare organisations or other commissioning bodies.
Where it is available?
What it costs:
Our services are tailored to each person's individual needs, so costs will vary depending on the level of support required, the frequency of visits and the type of care provided.
Following an initial consultation and assessment, we will provide a clear, personalised quotation with no hidden charges. We believe in transparent pricing and will discuss all costs before any service begins.
Support may be funded privately or, where eligible, through local authority funding, NHS Continuing Healthcare, Direct Payments or Personal Health Budgets. We are happy to discuss the available options and signpost individuals and families to organisations that can provide information about funding and financial support.
How to access or apply for it:
Accessing our service is simple. Individuals, family members, friends, healthcare professionals or housing providers can contact Nightingales directly to discuss their care and support needs.
Once we receive an enquiry, we will arrange a free, no-obligation consultation and assessment at a convenient time. During this visit, we will discuss the individual's needs, preferences, routines and desired outcomes before developing a personalised care plan.
Following agreement of the care plan and service arrangements, support can begin on a mutually agreed date. We always aim to make the process straightforward, supportive and tailored to the individual's circumstances.
What to expect then:
After making contact with Nightingales, applicants can expect a friendly and professional response from our team. We will arrange an initial assessment to better understand the person's needs, answer any questions and explain how our service works.
A personalised care plan and service agreement will then be prepared, together with a clear quotation outlining the agreed support. Once everything has been agreed, we will carefully match the individual with a suitable member of our care team and agree a convenient start date.
We believe that building trust and developing positive relationships is essential, which is why we take time to ensure every client feels comfortable, informed and involved throughout the process.
