Mendip District Council has always supported disabled people with the costs of home adaptations, to help them live independently and safely.

Disabled Facilities Grants are means-tested grants of up to £30,000, and are available following a referral from an Occupational Therapist. Examples of the life-changing facilities and fixtures available include; stairlifts, level access shower rooms, heating improvements, better access, and room conversions and extensions.
