Where it is available?
How to access or apply for it:
To apply for help you will need to contact the occupational therapy (OT) team at Hampshire County Council on 0300 5551378.
Private sector housing:

Email: privatehousing@rushmoor.gov.uk
What to expect then:
A member of the occupational therapy team will carry out a short telephone assessment and tell you what happens next: this may include a visit to your home.
If the occupational therapy team thinks that, on the information you have provided, you may have to make a contribution towards the work, they will ask you to contact our private sector housing team for a grant enquiry form. This will allow us to do a preliminary means test on your income and establish if you qualify for grant assistance.
If the occupational therapy team thinks that you will qualify for a grant, as you are on a low income, they will give you the grant enquiry form after assessing your needs. You will need to complete this form and return it to us at the council offices in Farnborough, so that we can carry out a preliminary means test. If you have any problems completing the form, please contact our private sector housing team using the details on this page and we will arrange to come to your home to help you.
The occupational therapist will decide what adaptations are required to meet your needs and will send a referral to us to process your application.
