Advocacy Service
What does it do?
We support older people (aged 50+) to make decisions and to be heard when decisions are being made about their lives. We listen to their views and concerns, help them to explore their options and inform them of their rights. We provide information to help them make informed decisions and help them contact relevant people or contact them on their behalf (referral and signposting). We can also accompany and support clients in meetings and appointments. Our work encompasses supporting clients with decisions relating to (but not limited to): care planning, medical appointments and admissions, financial planning and administration, debt management and housing.
