Clay Cross Resource Centre

Resource centre for older people and people with dementia

What does it do?

Clay Cross Hall is an impressive Victorian building situated in extensive open parkland that we have adapted to provide a specialist social day opportunities setting for older people in North East Derbyshire. The objective of the service is to improve and sustain the health and well-being of older people who live in the community, promoting maximum integration into a social community setting thereby preventing social isolation and hospital admission. This service also provides respite for family carers.

To ensure the quality of the care provided is of a sufficiently high standard for each individual and continues to be beneficial, a regular review of care will take place between the staff team, the client, carers and family members and other professional agencies.

The day centre has a highly motivated team who work flexibly to cater for individual needs. They are committed to providing services to meet the needs of local people and adapting/developing services to meet changes in people's needs.

Clay Cross Resource Centre holds the Bronze Dignity and Respect Award.
