Resource Centre for people older people and people with dementia

What does it do?

A team of Community Support Workers work alongside the centre staff, offering support to people with diagnosed mental health issues, including dementia, in the community.

Hasland has it's own purpose use vehicle and driver who transports people to and from groups. Transport be provided if there is an assessed need.

Who it is for?

The day opportunities team provide a range of centre and community based services for people with higher moderate to critical needs living in the Chesterfield area, five days a week.  We do take referrals from out of area if it is more beneficial for the person to attend the centre at Hasland, rather than their local day opportunities provider. We do not provide transport in this instance.

How to access or apply for it:

Centre opening times:  

Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm

Group opening times:

10am to 3pm (variable depending on specific group)

Group Information: 

Hasland Resource Centre offers a range of opportunities, these include: groups for people with dementia, a craft group and a bathing group.

The bathing facilities at the centre can be booked out to people who are unable to access their bath at home, and have a relative or carer who can assist them.
