Adult Social Care
What does it do?
We work to support older people, people with a physical disability, sensory impairment, long-term illness, mental health or learning disability, and we also organise services to meet carers' needs. We aim to ensure that all of our services address the diverse cultural needs of our residents and that people who use our services will be treated with respect and courtesy at all times and assisted to take decisions themselves and to live their lives free from discrimination and harm.
Services provided can include:
• healthcare
• equipment
• help in your home or in a care home
• community support and activities
• day centres
• help for people with disabilities
• financial support
• information and advisory services, and advocacy
• support for carers
