Befriending service for older people in North Norfolk

What does it do?

Our Befriending scheme is funded by the National Lottery and is a service for those who are lonely and socially isolated. A Volunteer Befriender will visit to provide companionship on a regular basis.

This is not a shopping, volunteer driver or outing service but rather our volunteers are there to provide emotional support by having a cup of tea, a natter and a reminisce. They may play games or read the client books whilst being a reassuring presence as someone looking out for the best interests of the client.

All our volunteers are DBS and reference checked for your security.
