Community centres and cafés

The cafés are open to older visitors and the general public

What does it do?

Royal Voluntary Service Community Centres offer weekly programmes of activities covering arts and heritage, lifelong learning, healthy living and social events. The cafés that are often within the community centres are open to older visitors and the general public for a coffee, chat and a bite to eat. They support healthy eating choices and offer good food at affordable prices.

Royal Voluntary Service in Sussex and Eastbourne help older people maintain their independence and stay involved in the local community.

We have volunteers across Sussex and Eastbourne who offer help and support so older people can stay independent at home in Eastbourne, Hastings, Newhaven and the surrounding areas.

See our local services below but we may be able to offer you more. If you can't find something suitable for you or a loved one then just ask.

As everyone is different, Royal Voluntary Service can tailor support to your individual needs. We’ll visit you at home and work with you to create a support package that suits you.

All our volunteers have been DBS checked.
